What the Entire Pack is "Doing" Together...

A new kind of Scouting year is underway!

posted Oct 2, 2021, 11:57 PM by admin2 Admin

We're so excited to resume in-person Scouting activities for the 2021-2022 year. The year will still look different than a "normal" year but events and activities are beginning to be held!

In August we held our first annual Camporee, a fun family event of games, a hike, whittling, s'mores, AND MORE. It was so much fun we've decided it will be a regular event!

October 2 was our Bottle Rocket Launch event, the event in which the Scouts learn just how "explosive" of a combination Diet Coke and Mentos can be, then we make our empty soda bottles into rockets, fill them with water, and "blast" them down the field.

In November we'll have our all-pack family campout, with lots of other fun den activities and pack meetings to come.

While we're beginning to meet in person again, the safety of our Scouting community is of the upmost importance, so these are some things we're doing to stay healthy:
-we ask all participants to wear a face mask regardless of vaccination status
-we'll continue to try to maintain social distance at events
-all den/pack events and den meetings are held outdoors
-pack meetings will continue to be held virtually for at least the fall/winter of this school year

Please contact your den leader or Cubmaster if you have any questions or concerns!

Welcome to scouting for 2020-2021. This year is going to be quite a bit different from previous years, but we have a lot of fun and exciting events planned!

Our first virtual pack meeting is August 21 from 7:00 – 7:30. The scouts will do a kahoot quiz with questions created by each of the dens.

On September 5 we will have a backyard campout. Pitch a tent in your back yard (or just make a tent in your living room), make some s’mores, and join the campfire program from 7:30 – 8:30.

All the events have been entered in the uptous calendar and on

Water-Bottle Rocket Launch & Ice Cream Social Scheduled

posted Apr 10, 2018, 7:53 PM by Web Master   [ updated Apr 10, 2018, 7:57 PM ]

We have scheduled our annual water bottle rocket launch and ice cream social event.  It will be Saturday, May 5th starting at 3 pm.  We will start the event by conducting the "diet coke and mentos" challenge which will give us nice empty bottles with which to build our new rockets for the launch challenge.

For current scouts parents, please bring a 2-liter bottle of diet coke (do not try other sodas as they are not as fun or effective) and a pack of mentos for your scout.

Come and enjoy some sun and fun with Pack 501!!!
